One needs the whole background and the building of the world and characters to get the inside jokes and understand some relationships better.īooks in the I-Team series (there are some novellas also, not included on this list): I do recommend the whole series and not just this book. If you like romantic suspense and this series, you will love it.
It’s wonderful, comforting to have them here. They all have their individual endearing qualities.
The whole I-team family of couples jumps into the fray and it’s great to see them. He misreads Holly initially, everyone does, but once he knows the real deal, he’s solid. He doesn’t come off as flashy he just does what he needs to do.
He seems a bit of the strong and silent type to me. Nick gets thrown into a mess, difficult and dangerous, and does the best he can. (Although, I still have no interest in shoes.) I love Holly, more than I could have imagined. This gives us the inside story on Holly, from her perspective, and WOW. She seems a bit of a diva but she does write well and knows what is happening in the world. She talks freely about men and sex and fashion and shoes. Holly has always been friends with the I-team group but a bit separate because she is the entertainment / social reporter. I liked this better since Holly was at work during some of the story. The people are still connected to the I-team and friends with them in some way. The last few books have taken the story away from the newspaper and investigative journalism stories. The I-team series is one of my favorites and I love romantic suspense since it combines mystery and action with romance. He’s going to turn her world upside-down. But they won’t be enough to handle the man who’s following her. When Holly finds herself in trouble, the only weapons at her disposal are her brains and her body. Clearly someone at Langley made a mistake. Holly Elise Bradshaw is nothing more than an entertainment writer with a love for sex and designer clothes.
