Part One and Chapter One looks into the environmental state of Montana.Mainly the author looks at societal collapse, and when faced with the possibility how societies reacted and what factors led to the collapses. Each chapter delves into a specific example of past and/or present societies and examines those societies impactful decisions economically and environmentally.
